When I look back at the images from my childhood, I see what I looked like, a little blue eyed, blonde haired girl with a button nose. I see my favorite clothing and my favorite people standing beside me. But, there are a few photographs, taken by my father that I can't get out of my head. Through them I can see a little glimpse of who I was. I see the way my father saw me, and I see the same mischievous sparkle in my eye that my oldest son has in his. They are unspeakably beautiful and real to me.
I am passionate about photography, and specifically about my photography business. I love to shoot for clients almost as much as I love to photograph my own family. Sometimes I meet a client and make an instant friendship, and I love that. Other times, we make a connection that's strong, but not immediate, and I love that, too. A strong connection always leads to beautiful images and renews my passion for what I do.
I've been told I have a calm presence, especially when I'm behind the lens. That doesn't surprise me. Photographing has felt "right" to me since the first time I picked up a camera.
My style is fresh and intimate and real.
